This is the first post for the course Chemistry in the Community, period 1.  Here is today's agenda and homework.

    1. (5) Blank Bell ringers: add to Vocab portfolio
    2. Safety sheet: Read, sign, and have parent's review and sign
    3. Unit 1 Content Reading Guide page 1: (gray sheet), (to be done together in class)
    4. Vocab sheet (Freyers' model)
    5. Skeletal notes (white)

  • Reviewed page 3 in the text, brainstormed & compared 3 questions posed by the text, reflecting the content of the first three sections of Unit 1.

  • Read the two articles found on pages 4-6.

      • Underlined the facts presented in the first article on page 4-5.
      • Completed chart found on the bottom of the gray sheet: Who was interviewed and their reaction.
